Change the World

Claremont Presbyterian Church has a long history of enacting our faith through service, advocacy and social justice.  We draw inspiration from the prophets who called God's people to "do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with God" and to "let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever flowing stream."  We remember Jesus' words to his disciples in Matthew 25 that whenever they feed the hungry, cloth the naked, visit those in prison, look after the sick, or welcome the stranger, we are really doing those things with and for him.  Members and friends of our congregation are currently engaged in serving meals to the hungry, settling Syrian refugees, installing clean water systems in developing countries, community organizing, providing hygiene kits to the homeless, and supporting local public schools.  We have a large Urban Agriculture installation on our campus, and we host many community organizations and 12-Step groups.  Newcomers are welcome to join any of these efforts--or to open our eyes to new opportunities to love and serve.
