The Deacons at Claremont Presbyterian Church are volunteers who are ready to help church members in times of need. Each Deacon has a parish of members with whom they connect through cards, calls, visits, and flowers after church. This year the Deacons are again partnering with Uncommon Good to “adopt” five families. The goal, as always, is to provide the parents and children with some deeply needed economic assistance for the upcoming holiday season. Our objective is to raise enough money from the congregation that we can give each family $200 in gift and food cards for a total of $1,000. We adopt families with children ranging in age from newborn to well into their teens. We also provide food and gift cards to the parents.
