Crossroads Women
Since 1974, the mission of Crossroads is to provide housing, education, support, counseling, and employment training in a homelike environment for women who have been incarcerated and are currently on parole. We are a licensed residential substance use disorder treatment program. Crossroads is a leader in providing comprehensive reentry services for women. Crossroads was the first program in California to provide services to women who had served life sentences. We also are the first program in Los Angeles County to be awarded a contract to serve women (ages 18-24) who are being released from juvenile facilities. Our primary goal is to support women in rebuilding their lives after incarceration. We have assisted hundreds of women making the transition from incarceration to independence.
Over 85% of women who stay at least three months at Crossroads successfully transition back to the community. They leave Crossroads having met all of the requirements for parole or probation, some will attain college degrees, get jobs, finish their GEDs, get bank accounts, IDs, have savings and have all of their medical needs met. They will also be supported with getting housing after Crossroads.
