The California Jazz Arts Society and Claremont Presbyterian Church present a community outreach project featuring Bonnie Bowden, former vocalist for Sergio Mendez and Brasil 66.

Bonnie began her career at a young age at Six Flags Over Texas. Moving to California, she landed a solo position at Disneyland on the Sound Castle Stage in Tomorrowland.

Later, she was offered the lead singer position in one of the hottest bands in the world… Sergio Mendez and Brasil '66, which by the early 70's had been renamed Brasil 77. Bonnie remained through the 77 years into the Brasil 88 years. The engagements allowed her to tour the world many times over, and also included appearances with Johnny Carson, Merv Griffin, Mike Douglas, Dinah Shore, and the Midnight Special.
