Holding Faith / Holding Family

Holding Faith/Holding Family is free workshop, a safe place to learn more on the journey toward LGBTQ+ inclusion. Many feel forced to choose between their faith and the LGBTQ+ folks they love. This will be a space where you can ask your most honest questions, dare to share your fears and hopes, and courageously embrace a wild and reckless love. Come if you are wrestling with Scripture, come if you have questions about the science or the vocabulary, or come if you simply desire to have better conversations with family or friends for whom the Bible gets in the way of inclusion.

We will read together The Widening of God’s Mercy by Richard & Christopher Hays, which takes us beyond proof-texting to observe the wide over-arching love and inclusion of our boundary-breaking God. The goal is to find a bigger, more joyful table, with room for all.

We will meet via zoom for six Thursday nights, 7-8:30 pm PT, beginning September 11.
