New Beginnings Sunday

New Beginnings Sunday

Adult Education Class at 9:00 a.m. - Emmanuel Ilunga, Claremont School of Theology Student Intern, will speak on life and faith in the Congo.

During 10:00 a.m. worship we will bless students and teachers as they begin a new year of learning together. The choir will be back in the loft and Associate Pastor Rev. Brian Gaeta-Symonds will begin our September sermon series, James - Faith and Action with a sermon entitled “Doers and Dreamers.”

Godly Play for grades K-5. Godly Play uses storytelling and the invitation each week for the children to respond creatively through art, music and movement to the stories they hear to help children develop a sense of the beauty, mystery and wonder that is part of learning the stories of God’s movement in the lives of the people of God. Godly Play meets every Sunday morning from 10:15 -11:15 a.m. The children are invited to come to worship at 10:00 a.m., and then leave with their teachers after “The Time with the Children.”

Join us following worship for a delicious taco lunch on Angell Courtyard and in Fellowship Hall. All are welcome!
